Science-Based Instruction That Works
At The Wedge, we believe that effective instruction requires more than just good intentions—it demands a systematic, data-driven approach that respects the uniqueness of each golfer. Our training programs are built on this philosophy, combining decades of teaching experience with the most advanced training technology available.
Every golfer who walks through our doors brings a unique combination of physical capabilities, learning preferences, time constraints, and goals. A one-size-fits-all approach simply doesn't work, which is why we offer multiple program formats designed to meet you where you are. Whether you prefer intensive one-on-one attention, the camaraderie of group learning, or the flexibility of à la carte lessons, we have a pathway that fits your lifestyle.
Our instructors are not only certified PGA professionals but also trained in the specific technology and teaching methodologies that make The Wedge unique. They undergo continuous education to stay current with the latest research in motor learning, biomechanics, and golf equipment technology. When you work with a Wedge instructor, you're benefiting from an institutional knowledge base that has been refined over thousands of lessons.
Perhaps most importantly, we measure results. Too often in golf instruction, improvement is assessed subjectively—"that looked better" or "that felt good." At The Wedge, we track objective metrics from session to session, providing clear evidence of your progress. This data not only validates the work you're doing but also guides ongoing instruction, ensuring that we're always addressing your most significant opportunities for improvement.

Private Lessons
One-on-one instruction with a PGA professional tailored to your specific goals.
- Comprehensive swing analysis using TrackMan technology
- Personalized improvement plan based on your goals
- Video recording of your session for review
- Follow-up practice recommendations
- Access to instructor via messaging between lessons
Our private lessons represent the most personalized training experience available at Precision Golf. Each session begins with a discussion of your goals and any areas of concern, followed by a thorough assessment of your current technique. Using our TrackMan launch monitors, your instructor will capture detailed data on every aspect of your swing, from clubhead speed and attack angle to spin rates and launch conditions. This information forms the foundation of your improvement plan, allowing for targeted interventions that address root causes rather than symptoms. Throughout the lesson, your instructor will use video analysis and real-time feedback to help you understand and implement the necessary changes. You'll leave each session with specific practice drills and a clear understanding of what to work on before your next appointment.
Swing Assessment Package
A comprehensive evaluation of your entire game with detailed analysis and recommendations.
- Full bag analysis with every club
- Biomechanical movement screening
- 3D swing analysis and comparison to tour averages
- Written report with priority areas for improvement
- Equipment recommendations based on your swing
The Swing Assessment Package is designed for golfers who want a complete picture of their game. Over ninety minutes, we conduct an exhaustive analysis of your swing with every club in your bag, from driver to putter. This session goes beyond basic launch monitor data to include biomechanical screening, identifying any physical limitations that may be affecting your swing. Using our 3D motion capture system, we compare your movement patterns to those of tour professionals, pinpointing the key differences that are costing you distance, accuracy, or consistency. The session concludes with a detailed written report outlining priority areas for improvement, recommended practice activities, and equipment considerations. Many members use this assessment as the starting point for their improvement journey, returning periodically to measure progress.
Playing Lessons
On-course instruction using our simulator's rounds on world-famous courses.
- Real-time strategy and club selection coaching
- Course management skills development
- Mental game coaching during play
- Shot shaping instruction for on-course situations
- Post-round analysis and scoring improvement plan
Golf is not played in a vacuum, and the skills you develop in a practice setting must translate to the course. Our playing lessons bridge this gap by providing on-course instruction in a controlled environment. Using our simulator's course play feature, you'll play holes from some of the world's most famous courses while receiving real-time guidance from your instructor. These sessions focus on the decision-making aspects of golf that are often overlooked in traditional lessons: when to attack, when to play safe, how to recover from trouble, and how to manage your mental state throughout a round. You'll learn to think like a better player, developing course management skills that will save you strokes immediately. After the round, we review your decisions and shots together, identifying patterns and areas for continued development.
Short Game Intensive
Focused training on the shots that matter most: chipping, pitching, and putting.
- Chipping and pitching technique refinement
- Distance control training with measurable targets
- Putting stroke analysis and green reading
- Bunker play fundamentals and advanced techniques
- Pressure situation practice with performance tracking
Statistics consistently show that the short game accounts for the majority of strokes in a round of golf, yet most amateurs spend the bulk of their practice time hitting full shots. Our Short Game Intensive addresses this imbalance by focusing exclusively on shots from 100 yards and in. Using specialized training aids and our putting analysis system, your instructor will help you develop touch and technique around the greens. Sessions cover the full range of short game shots: chips, pitches, bunker shots, and putts of varying lengths. We place particular emphasis on distance control, the skill that separates good short game players from great ones. Throughout the session, we track your performance metrics, establishing baselines that allow you to measure improvement over time. Many of our members credit this program with the most significant scoring improvements they've experienced.
Junior Development Program
Age-appropriate instruction designed to develop lifelong golfers and competitors.
- Fundamentals-first approach for beginners
- Tournament preparation for competitive juniors
- Physical literacy and athletic development
- On-course playing opportunities
- College golf pathway guidance for advanced players
The next generation of golfers deserves instruction that is both effective and enjoyable. Our Junior Development Program takes an age-appropriate approach to golf instruction, recognizing that the needs of a seven-year-old beginner are vastly different from those of a sixteen-year-old aspiring to play college golf. For our youngest players, we focus on developing fundamental movement skills and a love for the game through games and challenges. As juniors progress, we introduce more technical instruction while maintaining an emphasis on fun and camaraderie. Our competitive track prepares serious junior golfers for tournament play, with focused work on course management, mental toughness, and the physical demands of competition. We're proud that dozens of our junior graduates have gone on to play college golf, with several earning Division I scholarships.
Group Clinics
Social learning environment covering specific topics with up to 6 participants.
- Rotating topics including driver, iron play, and short game
- Learn from watching others and collaborative feedback
- More affordable than private instruction
- Build relationships with fellow golfers
- Regular scheduling makes it easy to commit
Learning golf doesn't have to be a solitary pursuit. Our group clinics bring together up to six golfers of similar skill levels to work on specific aspects of the game. Each clinic focuses on a particular topic—driving, iron play, short game, or specialty shots—and is led by one of our PGA professionals. The group format offers unique benefits beyond cost savings: participants learn from watching others, gain confidence by seeing that they're not alone in their struggles, and often form lasting friendships with fellow golfers. Our clinic schedule rotates through different topics on a monthly basis, making it easy to address all aspects of your game over time. Many members combine group clinics with occasional private lessons for a well-rounded improvement plan.
